How to submit a contact
1
Primary method — Telegram photo. Write your notes on paper during or after the visit, then open @lifehousedoorbot on Telegram and send a photo of the notes.
2
Your notes should include the person's full address and postcode — this is essential for mapping the contact correctly on the map.
3
Note the outcome — interested, not home, declined, needs callback — and any skills, concerns or resources mentioned.
4
The photo is read automatically using AI vision. The text, address, and contact details are extracted and stored — no manual entry needed.
5
Alternative — voice note. You can also send a voice message to @lifehousedoorbot describing the conversation. Speak clearly, include name, address and postcode.
6
Web upload (backup). If Telegram is unavailable, use the Upload page to submit a photo of notes or an audio file directly.
Map & geocoding
Every contact with a valid address is automatically geocoded and plotted on the
Map. Postcodes must be clearly written — e.g.
WV6 0HQ — for the address to be located correctly. Check the map after submitting to confirm the pin appears in the right place.
Reviewing a record
Click any entry in the Live Activity feed (middle column) to open it. The right-hand Contact Record panel loads all the extracted details — name, address, outcome, skills, concerns, follow-up flag, and the full transcript or summary.
Checking against the image
For photo submissions, the original image appears at the top of the record — this is the photo of the handwritten notes. Click it to zoom. Compare what's in the image with what the AI extracted below it. If the AI has misread a name, address, or postcode, you can correct it.
Editing a record
Press Edit to unlock the fields. Update any details directly — name, address, postcode, phone, email, outcome, or notes. Press Save when done. Changes are saved immediately to the database. Use this whenever the AI has garbled handwriting or missed something in the image.
Confirm or reject
Once you're happy the record is accurate, press Confirm to mark it as reviewed. If the submission is a duplicate, unreadable, or otherwise unusable, press Reject to discard it. Confirmed records feed through to the map.
